ETHICAL SERVICE STANDARDS.

September 22 | 10:00-11:00 AM

In recent months, a number of ICAP members (insureds) have contacted pool representatives to inquire about the expectation and required service standards of local insurance agents.  Several entities have had questions about their role and responsibilities, as insureds, versus those of an independent agentSpecific questions addressed the filing of claims; updates to SOVs; alterations to deductibles and coverage limits; and more.

In response to such inquiries and to enable the provision of better service to local insureds, the ICAP team will host a 50-minute live webinar regarding ethical service standards for local insurance agents.  During this session, we will review the requirements and expectations of a local agent and enhance the service standards agents provide to insured entities throughout the state. Attention will be given, specifically, to the following:

  • Service requirements/expectations for various types of insureds.

  • Overview of quoting and anniversary processes, along with AOR efforts.

  • Discussion of coverage and claim considerations, along with the related work that goes into placing and maintaining coverage for municipalities.

  • Educational offerings available to local agents, and the way they can impact the service provided by agents.

Given the continuing circumstances of a hardened insurance market and the implications for public entities, Kasi will also review some of the extraordinary coverage requirements that have presented themselves and the ways such measures have impacted the service expected of local agents.

Participating agents will receive one ethics CE credit for their attendance. Click the button below to register now.
