Post-July Fourth - We're Back with a Bang.

It’s hard to believe but, just like that, my (second) favorite holiday has come and gone. I hope everyone enjoyed a safe, festive Fourth of July, and was able to spend yesterday relaxing after a fun-filled weekend.

I, for one, spent much of yesterday looking at parade image after parade image from member festivities. I love a good Fourth of July celebration, and Iowa sure knows how to do it.

We have so many fantastic communities throughout the state that put on safe, festive activities for local residents, and I consider it such a treat when I’m able to take part. For the years in which that doesn’t happen, I settle for friends’ parade images as a happy second.

Fortunately, folks didn’t disappoint this year. I fell down the rabbit hole with photo after photo yesterday; it was enough to get me through to today.

Speaking of, ICAP’s monthly training for law enforcement is happening this afternoon! This month’s session will be slightly more tailored than most of our sessions, because it will focus on the operations, policies and procedures for jails and holding facilities.

We’ll host another session Thursday, of course, but for anyone looking to join us today, there’s still time to register online for the session, which kicks off via Zoom at 1:30 PM.

ICAP's Member Program Guide is Out! And It's Important.

Hot off the press…ICAP’s 2021 Member Program Guide.

By now, every ICAP member and agent should have received their copy of the annual publication, which was mailed with a copy of the Pool’s 2020 Annual Report just shy of two weeks ago.

The question is, what’s in a Program Guide?

In the case of ICAP’s publication, darn near everything. At least, near everything as pertains to the Pool.

The publication gives a brief overview of ICAP’s history; a breakdown of the coverages the Pool affords; and a comprehensive listing of risk management services, for which all ICAP members have access.

The goal of the publication is to put information directly in members’ hands, because that’s always ICAP’s goal. We strive to be as transparent as possible, and we operate with the goal of ensuring all members have access to the services and resources they need.

If you haven’t already done so, please flip through the Pool’s 2021 Program Guide, and feel free to let us know if there are any services or resources you’d like to see added to the Pool’s repertoire!

Any questions, please email Megan Hirst via megan@icapiowa.com.
